Fishtown Playschool is a cooperatively run playschool that puts playtime first. By fostering opportunities to engage in child-centered play, kids not only learn academic skills, but also valuable social skills, including cooperation, compassion, and confidence. We place a priority on play, experimentation, and positive social interactions.

Our teachers are familiar with many early childhood approaches and, together with the Curriculum Committee, work to create a customized approach aligned most closely with Reggio Emilia, Emergent Curriculum, and Montessori styles. We believe playtime is a great time to learn.
